Crossroads Youth Intervention is an outreach mission in the Historic Garfield Neighborhood of the Phoenix inner-city. The mission is driven by a network of friends of the poor who provide the necessary volunteerism and financial support to sustain the work. The organization creates and provides programs to help the poor as well as stimulate self-sufficiency. We help children, youth and families overcome the challenges of life in the inner-city. For some it is life changing. For others it could be life saving.
Pathfinders is a program that presents an unrivaled opportunity for spiritual, physical and social growth and development. We introduce inner city youth to the challenge of an outdoor, backcountry experience; an environment that teaches outdoor education, environmental conservation, team building, elements of wilderness survival and provides an outstanding opportunity to deliver spiritual messages in a tranquil, natural settin, for many reared in a concrete jungle, the Pathfinders Wilderness experience offers up a lifetime of unforgettable memories and meaningful relationships other kids take for granted. Simple joys associated with a Pathfinders experience leave impressions that linger long after the tents have been packed away and the campfire has died out.
