New classes have begun at Canyon for April through June!
We have an exciting line-up and hope you will join us as we work on Body Building: “From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work” (Ephesians 4:16). Come along with us as we learn about God’s work in this grand adventure called life and how we can find opportunities to serve others!
Spotlight Sunday Morning Classes (9:30 a.m.)
Welcome to our children!
Classes are offered for Cradle Roll Babies, ages 3-4, grades K-3, and grades 4-6 exploring the Bible and its heroes.
Teens (grades 7-12), have you thought much about Surrendering Your Life to God? How is your life blessed by living within God’s will? How is your life challenged when you don’t? Shawn Mullins leads you in a series of studies dealing with our conflict of two natures and how we might overcome this conflict and fully surrendering to God’s will and His purpose in our lives.
What do you know about Canyon Church of Christ and its purpose? Why do we do what we do? Where does God fit into this picture? Join Tom Riley and special guest leaders in the Discover Canyon Class to learn more.
In these trying times, how do we nurture our families? How can we use God’s own Word and reliable research to guide our children to maturity? Marcus and Shona Shewmaker team up with Jeff and Leah Parker, Kirby and Julie Hicks, and Garth and Zandra Nash to lead a class focusing on Building Strong Families.
Have you ever thought that there’s more going on in the world than the eye can see? Shawn White explores what the Bible has to say about Angels, Demons, and Satan.
Spotlight on Wednesday Evening Classes (7:00 p.m.)
Classes are offered for children age 3-grade 1 (Room 502) and grades 2-5 (Room 503).
Middle school kids in grades 6-8 will investigate the man who impacted the world more than anyone else who ever walked the planet. Wes Scott will lead a class examining the life and impact of Jesus. Please see the attached special invitation and feel free to pass it on! (Room 406)
High school, college-age, and young professional folks will examine attitudes of our modern culture towards Christians and the church. How do we interact with people in mainstream culture order to make a positive impact without becoming unrecognizable as Christians? Shawn White will lead a class at the Parker home to wrestle with this issue. Bring your friends and be ready for challenging and respectful discussion. Jay Carter and Bill O’Neill will lead a class on building dreams, purpose, and goals. In this economy, the time is right to look ahead! (Room 1002)
Tom Riley will study the life of Moses. Has anyone except for Christ had such an intimate relationship with Yahweh? Join us as we get to know this friend of God. “The LORD would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend” (Exodus 33:11). (Library)
