Being a student between 6th and 12th grade is an exciting and anxious time all at once. Freedoms abound as does responsibility. The Canyon church seeks to train and nurture the development of students both emotionally and spiritually. We are also committed to the family and know that when parents and students come together and work on their relationships in a Christ-centered way, the home becomes a place of comfort and not a place of confllict.
Our Core
Everyone belongs...no matter what background, school, hair color, favorite TV show, ice cream flavor...whatever!
Everyone needs...whether we admit it or not, we're all in need of saving and we all have a willing Savior, Jesus!
Everyone learns...no matter how strong your faith, we're all on the same journey and will never stop growing and learning!
Everyone contributes...and has something of value to offer others and to offer God!
Our Purpose
God has already laid out what is best for us...we're just following his lead. It's C2 :
Command: To love God with all our hearts, souls, minds, and strength. To love others as we love ourselves. (Matt. 22:36-39)
Commission: Share what God has done for us through Jesus' resurrection with those who need to hear about grace, mercy, forgiveness and belonging! (Matt. 28:19)
Our Ministry
We have an excited ministry to students including Connection Groups, Bible-study/classes, summer camps and trips, networking opportunities, and mission/service projects that make a difference in the lives of others!
