Since the very beginning in 2003 when Canyon church was first being planted, prayer has always been a part of who we are. We’ve held several prayer vigils over the years, especially during crucial moments in our lives. In 2012 as our buildings were being finished, we spent 24-hours in prayer over the godly work that would take place at this location. And for the last eight years, we’ve started each new year by focusing on God, and bringing our praises and our concerns to Him prayer. We do this because prayer keeps us centered on God’s will (1 John 5:14-15). We do this because God hears us when we pray (Psalm 66:18-20). This year’s 24-hours of prayer event will begin at 5:00 PM on Friday, Feb. 19 and continues until 5:00 PM Saturday, Feb. 20. To ensure that everyone can participate, this will not be an “in person” event like we’ve done in the past.  Instead, the vigil will be done in your own homes.
