On Thursday, November 17, we will be preparing and serving a Thanksgiving Dinner in our auditorium for 25-30 foster children and 7 staff members of the Happy Acres Children’s Home.

Dishes will need to be prepared at individuals’ homes and then brought to the Canyon Church building by 5:00 PM on that day. The dinner will begin at 5:30 PM.

For a list of specific dishes and food items, please see the sign-up sheet on the orange table in the back of the auditorium. Turkeys will be provided to pick up at the church building and cook at home. We will also need help with set-up, table decorations, kitchen servers, and clean-up.

This event is being coordinated by deacon Al Larson and Canyon’s Benevolence Ministry. Please contact Al with any questions or to volunteer.

The Happy Acres Children’s Home is a Christian group foster home. They are located off Happy Valley Road in the North Phoenix area, so this is an opportunity to fulfill needs in our neighborhood and support the foster care community.
