Our temperatures might not be saying “fall weather” but we are going to celebrate fall anyway with our Trunk or Treat event, taking place on Sunday, October 23 starting at 6:00 PM. From 1 to 101, this will be a fun all-ages event with time for our church family to enjoy each other’s company and re-connect. We’ll also be having a chili cook-off with prizes - so get out those recipes! Please check out the schedule and details below and make plans to attend.
DECORATE A TRUNK - Cars participating in the trunk or treating are asked to arrive and set-up in the parking area behind the worship building (south entrance, by the kitchen) and have their trunks decorated no later than 5:45 PM. Other vehicles should be parked on the north side of the building. Please bring your own candy to hand out.
CLICK HERE FOR A MAP.CAKE WALK - To all our bakers, please bring a festive homemade cake or cupcakes to donate for our cake walk game. The kids enjoy this game each year and your donations help make it happen. Please contact Laura Shewmaker if you have any questions about donating a cake.
CHILI COOK-OFF - Do you have a favorite chili recipe? Bring your chili in a crockpot (or something to keep it warm) and enter our chili cook-off. Everyone will get to sample and vote on their favorite and prizes will be awarded.
CHILI CHEFS - Please CLICK HERE to sign-up with Davina White so she can plan table space accordingly.ENJOY A MEAL - We will have grilled hot dogs available with the chili-tasting, along with some sides and drinks, and of course candy and cakes for dessert. Tables will be set up outside under the lights for us to enjoy a meal and visit with each other.
SELFIE STATION - We’ll have a festive photo backdrop set-up, so be sure to stop by and snap a pic!
COSTUMES are welcome but not required. Come dressed up or just as you are - all are welcome!
QUESTIONS OR TO VOLUNTEER - Please contact event coordinator Kristine Jenkins if you can help or have questions.
