Youth Group (Jr. High & High School)
GROUNDED IN THEIR FAITH
Our Canyon Youth Group comes alongside 6th through 12th Grade students as they explore their faith as their own and learn to lead. We are committed to equipping our youth so that they will go deeper in their knowledge of God, strengthen their faith as they grow into young adults, and be able to confidently share the reasons for their hope with others.
BE THE CHURCH
We believe teens aren’t just “the future of the church” but rather “they are the church right now!” While we offer time for teens to study the Bible together on Sunday mornings, and create lifelong friendships with other students in our weekly Connection Group (Navigate), we also believe youth shouldn’t be separated from their church body. We have an intergenerational approach to our youth ministry and are intentional about supporting and incorporating parents, and encouraging participation with adult mentors and teachers. OUTSIDE THE CHURCH WALLS
Church doesn’t just happen on Sunday mornings. We encourage our teens to grow in their faith through special events outside the church walls, such as devotionals, summer camps, youth rallies, and the Leadership Training for Christ conference. Our youth also participate in inner city missions and service projects that make a difference, not just in the lives of our students but in the lives of others too. We also provide resources for families to enjoy together such as Christian-based videos available for streaming at home through the RightNow Media app.
